Fantasy Outlook

The Bears are turning things over to their young guns after Burden and TE Colston Loveland came on strong in the second half of last season. Veteran wideouts DJ Moore and Olamide Zaccheaus are gone, leaving Burden, Loveland and Rome Odunze unchallenged as Caleb Williams' top three options, in some order. Odunze was the No. 1 early last season, while Burden played fewer than 20 offensive snaps in each game until November. Even in that minimal role, there were glimpses of why the Bears made him the 39th overall pick (when they'd just drafted Loveland at No. 10 and had bigger needs on defense). Burden's role expanded Week 10, and he then recorded 10 straight games (including playoffs) with at least 26 snaps and three receptions. Loveland outshone Burden during the playoffs, but only after Burden finished the regular season with excellent efficiency stats, ranking third among WRs (200-route min.) with 2.91 yards per route. His 26.8 percent target rate was 14th-best, and 10.9 YPT ranked ninth. Perhaps none of it should be surprising, given that Burden is a former five-star recruit who ran a 4.41 40 (at 6-foot, 206 pounds) at the 2025 Combine. He should now get every chance to further expand his role, with the Bears shedding veterans at WR but otherwise keeping their 2025 starting lineup intact.
