2026 Fantasy Outlook
Kmet's 30 catches and 347 yards in 2025 marked his lowest totals since his rookie season in 2020, as he was usurped by 2025 first-round pick Colston Loveland atop Chicago's TE depth chart. Loveland established himself as one of the top pass-catchers in the NFL at the position, so the door on Kmet's role in the passing game growing is likely shut as long as Loveland stays healthy. Kmet averaged 587 receiving yards and had 17 TDs over the preceding four seasons, so he would be a serviceable fill-in option should Loveland miss any time due to injuries. The Bears added former Stanford TE Sam Roush in the third round of April's draft, but the 27-year-old Kmet will likely hold off the rookie for the second spot on the depth chart. Kmet has missed only one game in six NFL seasons.
