Smith came crashing back down to earth with the Steelers after an outlier 2024 Pro Bowl season for the Dolphins. He turned 54 targets into just 222 receiving yards in Pittsburgh, posting his lowest yardage total since his rookie season in 2017. Outside of Smith's 88-884-8 line with Miami in 2024, he has averaged 32 catches, 331 yards and 2.8 TDs in eight other NFL campaigns. Smith, who will turn 31 in August, remains unsigned at press time. He'll likely have to settle for a 1B or backup role wherever he lands, though there is an outside chance that Smith can find the perfect mix of opportunity and fit again like he did with the Dolphins.
