Blue's rookie season as a fifth-round pick was mostly disappointing, as he couldn't earn playing time despite Dallas' lack of depth at the position, losing out on the RB2 role to career backup Malik Davis even after Miles Sanders' season-ending injury in Week 4. Blue (4.38-second 40) offers intriguing speed and pass-catching ability, but his polish in other parts of the game were lacking in 2025. Blue doesn't run with much power at 5-foot-9, 196 pounds, and both ball security and pass blocking are likely concerns additionally. The Cowboys ended up releasing him in late August, seemingly choosing Davis for the No. 2 RB role.
