Grady Jarrett was meant to be a splash signing for the Chicago Bears' defensive line in 2025 after being cut by the Atlanta Falcons during the offseason. Jarrett was still a declining but productive player in his final years in Atlanta, playing at least 700 snaps in five of his final six seasons. In those years, he logged at least 50 tackles, 26 stops, 34 pressures and 1.0 sack. Unfortunately, Jarrett's first year in Chicago was less successful. Jarrett had his fewest tackles (39), pressures (21) and stops (15) of any healthy season since his 2015 rookie season. The Bears are hoping that Jarrett can be a stabilizing force on an interior defensive line that has undergone a complete makeover. Chicago signed free agents Kentavious Street and Neville Gallimore and drafted Jordan van den Berg in the sixth round. All three of those players will rotate with Jarrett as the Bears try to elevate their defensive line. Jarrett will certainly have a role in Chicago in 2026, but his best days are clearly behind him.
