D'Marco Jackson was cut during training camp by the Saints and signed with the Bears before the 2025 season. Prior to last season, Jackson had 76 career snaps played with 26 tackles on defense. He was initially signed as a special teams body who could provide depth, but wound up making four starts for Chicago thanks to injuries in the linebacker room. He made an immediate impact, registering 30 tackles (12 solo), two tackles for loss and an interception in his four starts, including a 15-tackle game in his first career start. Jackson will be the Bears' third linebacker in 2026, but should have a consistent role on the defense, subbing in for veteran T.J. Edwards on clear passing downs. Jackson will have a rotational role for the Bears in 2026, but he's shown that he can hold his own as a starter if injuries strike the linebacker room again.
