Despite being selected with the number one pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Risacher, to this point, has been a non-factor, both in fantasy and reality. He made 67 appearances for the Hawks last season, averaging 9.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 1.4 three-pointers in 22.4 minutes per game. After serving as a starter for the first four months of the season, he was eventually relegated to the bench, where he typically played no more than about 20 minutes per game. He was moved to Dallas during the offseason, where he will have an opportunity to turn his career around. However, Dallas has a lot of depth at the forward positions, including Cooper Flagg, Naji Marshall, PJ Washington, Morez Johnson and Santi Aldama, meaning Risacher may have to spend more time as an off-guard. The depth as shooting guard is far less meaningful, with Klay Thompson and Max Christie the only real options. No matter the direction that is chosen, there is no need to draft Risacher at this point, given his apparent lack of upside.
