The 2025-26 season was certainly a stop-start affair for Washington, playing just 56 games due to eight different injuries and/or illnesses. Although he typically provides fantasy managers with serviceable counting stats, poor shooting from both the field and the line continues to drag down his overall appeal. He finished as the 143rd-ranked player in nine-category leagues, averaging 14.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.4 three-pointers and 2.1 combined steals and blocks, shooting 45.0 percent from the floor and 68.7 percent from the stripe. Heading into the 2026-27 season, the Dallas rotation is seemingly open for discussion, outside of Kyrie Irving and Cooper Flagg. While Washington will likely play a meaningful role, either off the bench or as a starter, the competition for minutes is something to pay attention to. Santi Aldama and Morez Johnson were both added to the roster during the offseason, with both likely in the discussion for playing time. Flagg could also spend time at the four, should Dallas opt to play Naji Marshall, Klay Thompson or Zaccharie Risacher at the three. With all the uncertainty, managers will want to be cautious when considering Washington in drafts. At this point, he should probably be viewed as a late-round target, as opposed to a top-100 asset.
