Lively looked poised for a breakout campaign last season, but this big man has had trouble staying on the floor. He only played seven games last season after getting foot surgery in December. That's scary since he only played 91 games through his first two years, so injury question marks are definitely becoming a concern. It's even scarier since Lively wasn't cleared to start running by the end of June. That's a long recovery for an oft-injured big man, with Dallas fans just wanting to see him on the floor. In his first two seasons, Lively averaged 8.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.5 blocks across 23 minutes a night. He did that while competing with other big men in this rotation, but the Mavericks want him to be their starting center for the future. There's also talk about Dallas moving on from Daniel Gafford and PJ Washington, so there's still a lot to be decided before we know what Lively's role will look like. The injury question marks and rotation concerns are major red flags, but things could look very different in January.
