Eason's role chopped and changed over the course of the 2025-26 season, starting 34 of his 60 games played. While he did manage to play a career-high 25.8 minutes per game, the same cannot be said for his production. After finishing the 2024-25 season as a top 70 fantasy asset, last year's campaign resulted in borderline top 170 value. He finished with averages of 10.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.6 three-pointers, shooting 41.6 percent from the field and 77.6 percent from the line. Having signed a new deal to remain in Houston, it appears as though Eason's role is relatively secure moving forward. However, the return of Fred VanVleet is likely to see Eason move to the bench on a permanent basis, which does put a cap on what he can do. Assuming he plays around 25 minutes per game, managers should feel somewhat confident drafting him with a last-round pick, particularly if his shooting numbers can improve.
