Adams continued to embrace a reduced but highly effective role during the 2025-26 campaign, providing Houston with elite screening, interior defense and rebounding while operating primarily as a reserve center. Although his offensive role remains extremely limited, Adams continues to be one of the league's most impactful physical big men, creating value that extends well beyond the box score. His fantasy outlook hasn't changed much entering 2026-27. Managers can still expect excellent rebounding and field-goal percentage whenever he's on the floor, but modest minutes and virtually nonexistent free-throw production severely limit his ceiling. Unless injuries elevate him into a larger role, Adams is best viewed as a situational option in deeper leagues rather than a player worth targeting in standard formats.
