Raynaud emerged as one of the steals of the 2025 NBA Draft, exceeding expectations during his rookie campaign by averaging 12.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists while shooting 57.1 percent from the field across 74 appearances (56 starts). He also earned a spot on the NBA All-Rookie Second Team after quickly establishing himself as a regular in Sacramento's frontcourt, making the most of the opportunity that became available when Domantas Sabonis missed time due to a knee injury. Entering his second season, Raynaud projects to remain a key part of the Kings' young core and should continue handling significant minutes at center, but if Sabonis stays healthy, Raynaud will be limited to a backup role. Don't be surprised if he experiences a decrease in his numbers compared to his rookie year, but Raynaud could be a player worth watching as the season progresses due to potential trades and roster movements in a rebuilding Kings roster. Raynaud has far more upside in dynasty formats than in redraft leagues, as his backup role entering the 2026-27 campaign reduces his fantasy ceiling considerably.
