The No. 7 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, Acuff earned SEC Player of the Year, First Team All-American and Bob Cousy Award honors under head coach John Calipari at Arkansas in 2025-26, averaging 23.5 points, 6.4 assists, 3.1 rebounds, 2.5 triples and 0.8 steals in 35.1 minutes per contest. The 19-year-old is well-positioned to step into a starting role immediately for this rebuilding Kings squad, and he's likely to see significant usage, especially if Sacramento moves on from some of its veterans. The rookie should have a strong chance to contribute in points and assists, though high usage for the point guard could also lead to increased turnovers after he averaged 2.2 giveaways per game with the Razorbacks. Acuff also recorded 48.4/44.0/80.9 shooting splits at Arkansas, but it's difficult to envision those numbers staying steady in the Association. For those reasons, he's harder to trust in category-based leagues, where he's a viable pick in the later rounds. However, he offers more value in points leagues, where he figures to be drafted in the mid-to-late rounds. He does face some competition for touches with Malik Monk, Zach LaVine and Nique Clifford in the backcourt rotation, though Acuff appears to be the team's long-term answer at point guard and should get the green light with Sacramento expected to prioritize his development.
