Tracy is probably just short of the caliber you'd prefer in an NFL starter, but he offers enough that he can pass as a starter for at least short periods, making him a clear positive for the Giants in a No. 2 RB role. As a former wide receiver, Tracy doesn't have the greatest natural anchor (5-foot-11, 210) and is probably at his best off the bench to take advantage of his abilities in space, where his 4.48 speed provides something the Giants can't get from likely starter Cam Skattebo. Tracy also improved his ball security in 2025, fumbling only once after coughing it up five times as a rookie. Even if Skattebo is back at 100 percent from his rather horrifying ankle injury, he invites so much contact that it won't be surprising if he generally has a high injury rate relative to other starting running backs. The two RBs in New York can coexist to some extent -- perhaps to the point of flex-viable weeks for Tracy's investors -- but it's mostly the injury-contingent value that makes Tracy an ideal option for fantasy benches.
