A 2024 move from Chicago to Atlanta revived Mooney's career, but he then fell off hard in 2025, producing just 32-443-1 in 15 games (down from 64-992-5 the year before). He's now in New York, on a one-year, $3 million contract that's fully guaranteed. The Giants have another aging downfield threat, Darius Slayton, with a much larger contract and much larger 2026 guarantee ($9.75 million). Mooney is shiftier and has shown a higher production ceiling, but Slayton's superior blocking and size arguably make him the better fit as an X receiver across from Malik Nabers. The Giants will also need a No. 3 receiver, but it may be a low-usage role after John Harbaugh brought TE Isaiah Likely and FB Patrick Ricard over from Baltimore. The most promising scenario for Mooney's fantasy value is one where Nabers is slow to rehab from his ACL tear or otherwise misses time.
