After spending four years in Mark Andrews' shadow, Likely will finally get a chance to showcase what he can do as a team's top pass-catching TE, following coach John Harbaugh to the Giants on a three-year, $40 million contract. Likely scored seven TDs in the 10 games that Andrews missed the past four years, but all of those opportunities came back in 2022 and 2023. Andrews didn't miss a game over the last two years, while Likely made his 2025 season debut in Week 4 after suffering a foot fracture. Likely never quite got on track last year, finishing with career-low totals of 27 catches for 307 yards and one TD, after averaging 420 yards and 4.7 TDs over his first three seasons. Likely has demonstrated WR-like receiving skills -- albeit without the speed -- but he's on the smaller side (6-foot-4, 245) for a starter and has never been considered a strong blocker. Returning starter Theo Johnson is no ace blocker either, but he's at least massive (6-foot-6, 264), which could earn him playing time over Likely in certain situations. Likely nonetheless has a chance to emerge as Option B or C in New York's passing game, with only WR Malik Nabers (torn ACL) locked in for steady targets from QB Jaxson Dart.
