A fourth-round pick of the Jets back in 2021, Carter has carved out a solid career as a depth back over five years split between New York and Arizona. The UNC product is a bit of a jack-of-all-trades as a running back, offering decent production on early downs, solid pas-catching ability and good ball security, as he hasn't committed a fumble since 2022. Carter reached 600 scrimmage yards in 2025 with the Cardinals, the third time he's accomplished that, and it was enough to earn him a modest one-year contract with the Titans in April. Tennessee used a fifth-round pick on Nicholas Singleton in the 2026 draft and bring back Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears, but both Spears and Singleton have spotty track records when it comes to their health. There could be more snaps available for Carter than expected with his new team.
