Kanak came off the board to Tennessee in the seventh round of the 2026 NFL Draft after being a late bloomer at Oklahoma, where he played four years but contributed at linebacker from 2022-24, only transitioning to TE as a senior in 2025. In his final year with the Sooners, Kanak impressed with a 44-533-0 line, and he makes up for a below-average frame (6-2, 234) with solid speed (4.52 40-yard dash). That said, as a rookie, Kanak may struggle to push for more than special-teams duties due to the presence of Gunnar Helm, Daniel Bellinger and Kylen Granson atop the TE depth chart.
