Saylors re-signed with the Lions for 2026 after he impressed on special teams in 2025, with a team-high 897 kick-return yards on 33 returns. He also had two carries for 11 yards in 16 regular-season appearances. After Detroit traded David Montgomery to Houston this offseason, the team signed his replacement by bringing in Isiah Pacheco, who will serve as the primary complementary backfield option behind Jahmyr Gibbs. As a result, Saylors again will contribute mostly on special teams this season.
