The 2025-26 season was a tale of two halves for George. Over the first two months, he thrived on both ends of the floor, rewarding anyone who took a chance on him in drafts. However, hip and elbow injuries derailed the second half of the season, with George eventually being dropped in most spots as the Wizards shut him down. He ended by playing 48 games, averaging 14.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.1 three-pointers and 1.9 combined steals and blocks. Heading into the 2026-27 season, Washington will be rolling out a new-look roster, presumably with a new-look attitude. At this point, Trae Young, Anthony Davis and Alex Sarr are locked in as starters. That leaves two starting spots up for grabs, with George, Bilal Coulibaly and AJ Dybantsa all in the mix. The fact that George can handle the ball, operating as a secondary play-maker could hold him in good stead. He also provides strong defensive contributions, as well as the ability to space the floor. No matter his eventual role, George should be able to provide fantasy value, bordering on the top 100, assuming he flirts with at least 28 minutes per game. For those interested in acquiring him, he is likely a target anywhere after the 10th round.
