Coulibaly took a step back in 2025-26, his third year in the league, averaging 11.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game while starting in his 56 regular-season appearances -- all those numbers represented a statistical regression compared to 2024-25. The drop wasn't significant, but it does pose the question of whether Coulibaly has enough in him to take another statistical leap, especially since the Wizards will have a better roster in 2026-27 with Trae Young, Anthony Davis and Alex Sarr featuring alongside Coulibaly in the starting role. A secondary role can't be out of the question, and if that's the case, then the Frenchman's upside won't be as high as it was ahead of the 2025-26 campaign, where he was seen as one of the most promising young wings in The Association. His offensive consistency remains a work in progress, and while Coulibaly possesses one of the most complete category profiles among emerging forwards, his role will ultimately determine his fantasy ceiling.
