Ellis presents as one of the more uncertain fantasy targets this season. Despite his obviousupside on the defensive end, Ellis has struggled to carve out a consistent role for himself. Heplayed 72 games for the Kings during the 2025-26 season, averaging 6.7 points, 1.3 three-pointers and 1.8 combined steals and blocks, in just 20.5 minutes per contest. After beingacquired by Brooklyn during the offseason, Ellis finds himself in an interesting situation.Given the fact that Brooklyn is likely viewing this as another development season, Ellis' rolecould change from one night to the next. It wouldn't be surprising to see his playing timefluctuate, anywhere from 22 to 30 minutes per game. His overall appeal is going to rely onsolid defensive contributions, and given the likely shifts in court time, Ellis should be viewedas nothing more than a potential late-round flyer.
