Taken in the seventh round by the Patriots in the 2026 draft, the aptly-named Jam has the tools to be a short-yardage asset in the NFL. The Alabama product posted a surprising 4.42 40-yard time at the combine, but his tape shows a back who's more adept at running through would-be tacklers rather than around them. Miller doesn't offer much on passing downs, however, limiting him to being a between-the-tackles grinder and potential goal-line option. New England already has a better version of that skill set in Rhamondre Stevenson, but if injuries sideline the veteran - Stevenson hasn't played more than 15 regular-season games in a season since 2022 - Miller could step in as a complementary option alongside big-play threat TreVeyon Henderson.
