2026 Fantasy Outlook
McPherson seemingly has job security and remains attached to a high-powered offense, but he hasn't quite lived up to the promise of his 2021 rookie season and hasn't been a factor in fantasy. He finished each of the past three seasons ranked outside the top-15 kickers in fantasy points per game, with mediocre efficiency and subpar volume on field goals. His PAT numbers are strong whenever QB Joe Burrow is healthy, but the combination of a strong offense and mediocre kicker means the Bengals go for it or punt in spots where other teams might attempt a three-pointer. It doesn't help to play in the AFC North, home of four teams that play outdoors in cities with cold winters. McPherson might otherwise rank among the league leaders in long-distance kicks, as he offers plenty of power (career-long of 63 yards) to make up for his inconsistent accuracy.
