Ed Oliver was considered one of the young, ascending pass-rushing talents on the interior defensive line after recording 51 tackles (34 solo), 65 pressures and 9.5 sacks in 2023. Unfortunately, injuries have limited the veteran defensive lineman to just 17 games played over the last two seasons. Oliver played just three games in 2025 due to an ankle injury and a torn biceps, but still managed to generate 11 pressures and 3.0 sacks on just 57 pass-rushing snaps. Oliver missed most of training camp dealing with a family tragedy, but is expected to line up as a defensive end in Jim Leonhard's new 3-4 defense. Buffalo is hoping that Oliver can regain his 2024 form and provide a consistent pass rush and sack production on a defensive line featuring a lot of young, unproven players. Oliver is worth taking a shot on in IDP leagues given his pass rush acumen, but his lack of consistent tackle production makes him a boom-or-bust option.
