Koziol, a rookie fifth-round pick, is the catch-first counterpart to second-round pick Nate Boerkircher, who made just 38 catches across his entire college career. Koziol, meanwhile, had four straight seasons with at least 34 receptions for Ball State (2022-24) and Houston (2025), peaking his final two years with receiving lines of 94-839-8 and 74-727-6. The 23-year-old is a converted wide receiver, sporting an unusually lanky frame (6-foot-7, 247) by TE standards. His Combine workouts -- 4.7 40, 36.5-inch vertical, 122-inch broad jump -- were all solid, but not elite, leaving Koziol in a position where he may need to improve on special teams to stick around on Jacksonville's active roster. He'll start off behind Brenton Strange, at the very least, with Boerkircher and Quintin Morris also competing for TE snaps.
