While Taylor wound up going undrafted in 2026 after a productive career at Virginia, he found possibly the best possible landing spot for his skill set when he signed with Jacksonville. Despite a smaller frame, Taylor showed some aptitude for picking up yards between the tackles thanks to his patience in letting blocks develop, as well as surprising power and contact balance. He also sports a versatile three-down skill set, showing reliable hands and a willingness to take on blitzers in pass protection. The Jaguars lost Travis Etienne in the offseason, leaving the entire depth chart wide open. Chris Rodriguez signed a two-year deal to compete with Bhayshul Tuten for the lead back role, but neither RB has shown much as a pass-catcher. That leaves Taylor battling with 2025 seventh-round pick LeQuint Allen and journeyman DeeJay Dallas for third-down duties.
