Raheem Mostert

The Raiders signed Mostert to a one-year contract in free agency, about six weeks before drafting RB Ashton Jeanty sixth overall. At 33 years old, Mostert's days of contributing positive snaps from the running back position might be gone, and the minimal guaranteed money in his deal indicates that Mostert isn't even a lock to stick around as a depth back and special teams player. Mostert's brutal 3.3 yards per carry from 2024 might have been impacted by chest and hip injuries that he played through, but even if he stays healthy with the Raiders, it's possible he would see more snaps on special teams than on offense. This is Ashton Jeanty's backfield now, and there could be at least one other running back ahead of Mostert on the depth chart even if he makes the team.
