Anzalone's relative strength has always been in coverage, and that's continued even as he's progressed into his 30s. In 2025, he ranked 15th among linebackers in passer rating when targeted, and he was second in completion rate allowed at just 65.6 percent. Anzalone also showed significant improvement against the run during his time with the Lions, lowering his missed-tackle rate to an elite 5.2 percent last season. His outlook in 2026 won't be quite the same after signing with the Buccaneers, as he'll likely be the leader of the linebacker corps without the protection of an elite playmaker such as Jack Campbell. However, even if his on-field value suffers, Anzalone will be on the field a ton with tackles and production defending the passing game to follow.
