Johnson, a 2020 fifth-round pick, spent time with the Buccaneers, Texans and Rams in previous seasons before landing with the Jets in 2025, where he suited up for 12 regular-season games and totaled a 12-197-1 line on 18 targets. Now, the 28-year-old will work to make the most of his one-year deal with the Cowboys and earn a similar depth role behind CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens, Ryan Flournoy and KaVontae Turpin. In order to earn a spot on the active roster, Johnson will doubtless have to log a strong training camp.
