Keep in mind that the end of the 90s saw a dramatic shift away from the RB-RB-RB approach which had dominated FF since the beginning. It was now becoming more reasonable to take WRs, TEs, and QBs than it ever had been before

For the last 15ish years, I had written off FF, because I thought that it was so saturated that there was no advantage to knowing the game. But since I’ve been back, I realized most don’t actually understand the game they’re playing BECAUSE online does all the work for them. And most of online is talking heads that know more about the NFL and less about FF. And the difference is subtle, but very deep
