For the first time in team history, The Texans have a white helmet that was teased by Bob McNair when the team was founded. Houston will wear their rivalry jerseys in week 11 vs the Colts on TNF.

Texans training camp moves so far: - Traded for Kayshon Boutte while giving up Jaylen Reed + 28’ 7th. - Signed Jadeveon Clowney to a 1 year deal worth 5.5 million with max value of 8. - Extended Henry To’oTo’o to a 2 year deal worth 16 million. - Signed Zay Jones and Sterling Shepard. - Signed Mario Edwards Jr. to a 1 year deal worth ~1.5 million. Feels like a team that thinks they are very close and has done a great job addressing their needs.

Something that concerned me about adding another WR this late into camp was how quickly could they pick up Houston’s offense and get on the same page as C.J. Stroud. Boutte is the exception where he should be able to pick it up faster than most. He is playing for Nick Caley who learned under Josh McDaniels in New England and while their offenses are different, some of the terminology will be similar. His new WR coach is also Ben McDaniels, Josh McDaniels brother.

Kayshon Boutte led all receivers in multiple important statistics via NextGenStats: EPA/Target: +0.74 CPOE: +20.0% Passer rating when target: 133.2 Yards per target: 12.0 He immediately becomes one of the best downfield threats C.J. Stroud has had over his career.
