C.J. Stroud outside of the turnovers vs Pittsburgh was arguably some of his best tape all season. Obviously the turnovers still cannot happen and he knows that but the way he threw the football in that game is something they can grow off. Among QBs in WC round excluding turnovers: 0.413 EPA/Play (1st) 0.413 ADJ. EPA/Play (1st) 48.5% Success Rate (6th) 1.0 CPOE (4th) Stroud late in the season really threw the ball well when kept clean until the divisional round.

Texans HC Demeco Ryans on OC Nick Caley heading into his 2nd season via @AaronWilson_NFL: “His flexibility and being able to go in any manner we needed to go to help us win games he was able to do that. I think we did a better job from a protection standpoint than the previous years just when it came to not getting the quarterback hit as much, I thought we did a better job there. The Texans defense was an elite unit no matter what last year but Tommy Togiai & Sheldon Rankins playing heavy snaps really changed the defense as well. -0.204 EPA/Play allowed 34.3% Success Rate 3.7 YPP All would be number 1 over a whole season.

Texans mock draft with draft month here. - Iheanachor & Lew provide high upside options across the OL at RT/C that can compete for spots moving forward. - Anthony Hill & Dominique Orange give the Texans a very athletic high upside LB and a DT who can anchor/take on double teams. - Johnson & Boerkircher provide key depth at RB & TE who fit well with the Texans scheme. Would have liked to add DE earlier but just didn’t fall how I wanted.

The Texans are NOT expected to extend QB C.J. Stroud ahead of the 2026 season sources tell @jjones9. Houston is reportedly expected to accept his 5th year option which would put him under contract through 2027.
