Trent Brown re-signing made so much sense for both sides I’m glad they got it done before free agency. There are very few starting caliber tackles you can find for “up to” 7M APY & obviously the injuries are concerns but he’s a starter while you develop Fisher/rookie or a great swing tackle. Great scheme fit as well being one of the best gap run blockers on the market.

We’ll see how FA goes but Nick Caley & Cole Popovich showed last season they can elevate and develop a OL that included multiple guys who hadn’t started games at positions and reclamations projects. They now have more money & draft assets to spend with a good RB room in place. I’m optimistic about the future of this offense.

Spending time looking into the younger dart throws the Texans could have on the OL and one name that makes sense is IOL Cole Strange. - Similar situation to Ed Ingram as a former top pick who didn’t really pan out. - Nick Caley was on staff in 2022 when New England took Strange. - Can play G/C where he was decent for NE in 2024. Not a guy I’d expect to come in and start but the Texans barely have any lineman to begin with and will have to find depth pieces.
