Drake Maye sucked in these playoffs but the idea his performance is comparable to Stroud is genuinely laughable. - C.J. Stroud had TEN (10) Turnover Worthy Plays in 2 playoff games - Drake Maye had 9 in 4 games playing the best 3 defenses ITL. Stroud led all QBs in TWPs this postseason despite only playing 2 games.

Now that the offseason is officially here for Houston there is a very realistic path to improving this roster with their draft capital. - IOL/DL to bulk up run game on each side. - RB1 who can improve the Texans down to down offense. - TE depth so you do not have to rely on Cade Stover & Harrison Bryant etc. - Get younger around Reed/Bullock at safety. The Texans have all the assets to be able to do this and possibly more.

Texans DB Coach Dino Vasso is staying in Houston on a contract extension after pulling out of the DC opportunity via @RapSheet. Vasso was in contention for the Cardinals job and potentially the Raiders & Browns as well.

I would assume one of the main goals for Houston on the defensive side this offseason would be getting younger at the DT spot around Tommy Togiai. I would say choose between 2 of Rankins/Autry/Settle/Edwards who are either upcoming FAs are possible cut candidates. I also think Houston should pick a DT sometime between day 1-2 to build around longterm.

Some potential options for the Texans if Dino Vasso & Cory Undlin got DC jobs - Texans safety coach Stephen Adegoke promoted to DBs coach He’s been the Texans safety coach since 2023 and was in SF with Demeco Ryans before that. - Texans defensive assistant Cole Weeks promoted to Defensive Passing Game Coordinator He is a former college QB & offensive assistant but has transitioned to defense under Demeco Ryans since being hired in 2023.
