Evan Brown pass protection numbers over the last 2 seasons since moving to mainly LG (@PFF): 2025 - 34 Pressures on 539 PBLK snaps, 4 games of 1 pressure or less and 7 of 3+. 2024 - 20 Pressures on 644 PBLK snaps, 13 games of 1 pressure or less. He dealt with a hip injury early in 2025 & missed games with “personal reasons” later on. If Houston can get the 2024 version of Brown they are getting a steal for up to 3.5M.

. He’s played 750+ snaps in each of the last 5 seasons with 3 different teams with most of the snaps being at LG/C. He was on the 2019 Dolphins for a month with Jerry Schuplinski and 2020 Lions which have Patriots connections with Matt Patricia.

The main difference between last offseason and this one is that Houston has the chance to have multiple above average lineman with Ersery, Ingram & Smith. Last offseason this time the only player on the OL that had a chance at doing that realistically was Tytus. You can get away with a meh player on the OL if you have players to make up for it.

The #Texans have upgraded RB David Montgomery’s contract giving him 16.5M over the next 2 years via @AaronWilson_NFL. Montgomery gets 1.5M guaranteed salary in 2026 & 2M in 2027 along with a 6.5M signing bonus.
