I’m still not ready to say the Texans OL draft eval is really all that bad.
Obviously I think Ersery is going to be good but still we don’t know about that but even then I still think they have had good picks that ended up going poorly.
Juice is probably the best example of a guy I think in the right scheme can be good but unfortunately that just hasn’t been the case in Houston.
Jarrett Patterson was a good draft pick pretty objectively & I still think Blake Fisher can upside.

The Texans offense will have a very different type of matchup than maybe we have seen in the past in LA.
- Chargers blitz on just 20.1% of dropbacks (fewest in the NFL)
- Chargers use zone coverage on 81.4% of their coverage dropbacks (4th highest)
Good test for Houston’s offense against a really good defense.

Texans QB C.J. Stroud is having his best season in Total EPA (Passing + Rushing EPA) added by a wide margin in 2025.
2025 Total EPA Added: 51.5
2024 Total EPA Added: -44.1
2023 Total EPA Added: 38.1
Stroud’s rushing EPA is at 15.9 which is 13.1 points higher than any season previously.
Between Stroud’s improvements in pocket management & rushing the year 3 bounceback has been huge.
