Some QBs who have a better EPA/Play over the last 2 years than C.J. Stroud (minimum 500 plays): - Kirk Cousins - Daniel Jones - Bo Nix - Tua Tagovailoa - Baker Mayfield - Kyler Murray - Mac Jones - Jalen Hurts Would have been a HUGE risk to pay him this offseason.

A couple of Texans season predictions: - Jalen Pitre becomes a first time all pro. - Jake Andrews & Trent Brown start in W1. - David Montgomery had 1000+ rushing yards and 8+ touchdowns. - Tommy Togiai plays well enough to earn a decently big deal in free agency. - CJ Stroud’s 2026 is very similar to his 2025 regular season.

The Texans FO has a ton of respect for KLUTCH agent Nicole Lynn who is managing Terrion Arnold. She currently is an agent for 5 Texans players: - Will Anderson Jr. (was made the highest paid non QB this offseason) - Ed Ingram (T20 paid OG headed into 2026) - Aireontae Ersery - Blake Fisher - Kamari Ramsey Would assume that plays a relevant part in the Arnold workout.

It’s nice to see the evolution of the Texans FO/Ownership being willing to take risks on potential “character concerns” with the trust they have in the leaders in their locker room. Arnold would have relatively low risk with the contract number but my main concern is the play, he just hasn’t been a good corner over his career. Feels like another Okudah & Henderson type experiment that probably wouldn’t beat out Jaylin Smith.
