Personally, I’m just happy the circus is over and we can move past it all. Micah is awesome on the field, but he is also a distraction with his podcast and saying shit he shouldn’t on occasion. Plus, while the front office didn’t handle it well, I have no doubt Micah and his representation didn’t help. I’ll take a solid D-Tackle and two first rounders to move forward. Cowboys always draft well (outside of Mazi), so they’ll turn those picks into something good. And we DID just get a steal of a D-End in this past draft. It’ll all work out.

I'm not necessarily upset about losing Micah, although he was one of my favorite players. My problem is the way it went down. I think everyone could've gotten onboard if this was thought out ahead of time, preferrably before the draft, where they could've gotten even more. You don't trade away one of your best players right before the season if you have a win now mentality. This is a move you make to rebuild your team down the line, and if that was always the plan, why trade a pick for GP? They could've paid some of the players they let walk, like J-lew or even Rico. This move screams of desparation and emotion, not of a well thought out team building plan. And then Jerry tries to give us some BS revisionists history version of what happened... Don't try to tell us that this makes the team better this year, because it doesn't. There is no current player on the team (or even group of players) that can replace his sacks, hurries, and the double/triple teams he draws. No offensive coordintor is scared of this defense now. This move may very well make the team better in a couple of years, but don't try to gaslight the fans into thinking this was good for this year. That's just not logical and that's the issue I have with this trade.2
