Bears fans, how confident are we feeling about this offseason thus far? I hope I’m wrong but feeling like they’re about to take a huge step backward in their progress from last season.

One guess is that Poles likes to do right by his guys and let the market determine their value. Maybe the offers to Brisker and Byard were higher than he was willing to pay and so in fairness he let them go get more money. Maybe I’m also saying this to feel better about the whole situation.

We lost so much more than a safety. We just lost the heart of our defense. I hope we can find another, but it will never be the same. Thank you Brisker. You kept hittin even when everyone around you had quit.
