ND had the 2 relative performance (rp) ranking. Notre Dame won 10 straight, with each and every single one being by double digits. They lost by a combined 4 points in the first two games of the season to 2 highly regarded cfp teams with a redshift freshman starting at quarterback. They beat the number 20 team by 10, the number 22 by 22, put up 70 points on a power 5 school, and demolished a very good navy team, while also handling the mountain West conference champion. So I ask again, why shouldn't we have been in the playoffs?111
