An opposing coach who faced the #Patriots this season on New England’s offensive system: “[Maye’s] got to be better at learning what defenses look like and where his relief’s going to be, but the offensive system doesn’t do him any favors in my opinion. They only run a certain number of plays and it’s the same plays they’ve been running for a long time. And if your quarterback’s not Tom Brady… that offensive system after a while starts to get real stale.” (✍️ @mzenitz)

PFF credited the #Patriots with a season-high 17(!) missed tackles against the Bears and gave 6 players a tackling grade below 35… 🔹Marcus Jones (6 Missed Tackles, 27.3 Tackling Grade) 🔹Charles Woods (3 Missed Tackles, 27.5 Tackling Grade) 🔹Robert Spillane (2 Missed Tackles, 27.6 Tackling Grade) Several other defenders were credited with one missed tackle each. Even without looking at the numbers, it was clear that Chicago was playing like the more physical team.

Mike Vrabel when asked if #Patriots WR Romeo Doubs (shoulder) will return at some point this season: “To say I know exactly when he'll be back, I don't think that's fair to anybody… It’s just unfortunate. I think he was just continuing to grow and develop. We’ll have to figure things out without him here for a little while, and I’m not sure how long that’ll be.”

Mike Vrabel says #Patriots rookie OL Caleb Lomu has to be ready to play multiple positions this week. "I think that Caleb will have to be ready to go at multiple positions." With RT Morgan Moses having a shot to play, we might see Lomu play guard.
