The player has little leverage with a contract in place and the B.S franchise tag system letting the teams hold these guys hostage even after a *contract* has run out. But if one of these stars ever had the fortitude to tell the public I will never sign another contract with this owner, and stick to it, I’d be a fan of that guy for life. Jerry can say don’t lose sleep, cause he cannot be forced to trade him, but Micah knows that when the contract ends, he cannot be forced to ever sign an extended deal…at most he can be tagged twice, and then hit the free agent market snd reminding the fans this is Jerry’s fault for dealing in bad faith.
