All these guys are becoming the highest paid the last few years, and yet none of them have even reached the Superbowl. It's greedy as hell imo and shows they care more about getting paid than winning, Lamar on his current contract is paid more yearly than he can probably spend but instead of using money to sign more guys the next few years you're dumping more money into a QB who doesn't even have a positive playoff record. Not saying Lamar isnt great but he'd probably have a better record in the playoffs if his team thought to pay other positions of need than pay him even more
