Hold vs ❤️: I’m seeing the drop off after around pick 18-19. However, I’ve also noticed that there’s obviously a big tier drop from pick 1 to pick 2, picks 2-6 seem very preference dependent an no clear order. So I’m all for trading back, I just don’t think I’d do it to gain a two pick bump in the second. I’d need more assets or better quality of the return.
The 🔥 trade is intriguing. If I’m in a rebuild at all, I’m taking that in a heartbeat and the value is definitely there. The question is…I may even do it in a contender, but it really depends on my team. At pick 11 (2.01) there’s still a good potential of a needle moving RB pick for this year at that spot, so if that’s all you need to contend, then I’d definitely take that trade. However, if it’s any other position you need for this year, you’re not likely to get it at the 11th pick (maybe TE, if you think you can rely on any of the rookie TEs this year…I don’t).
Mostly, I’m leaning towards taking that last deal. The value is just too good to pass up.
