Every name that was listed except for Bowers is a reason why he could have an increased role this season

We knew he was raw coming out and would take time adjusting to the pros. Really nothing has changed.

Bowers, Nailor, and Tucker are the only ones that are definitely ahead of him at this point. Him and Bech both have to earn roles, Tucker can be beaten out for playing time, and no one else even listed is anyone I’d be worried about mattering. Nailor is the WR to own on this team, but at this point I like Thornton as a hold at least to see what happens in training camp.

AI smoking crack. Thornton has been working most of his drills with Kirk so far this off season, so the Raiders obviously view him as a starter and want him to build chemistry with their QB1. He’s also the only receiver who possesses real elite physical traits on the team outside of Bowers. Wouldn’t even consider dropping him given the uptrend of the Raiders & his ceiling if given ample opportunity.

Holding until Mendoza starts, then we'll see. Cousins couldn't push the ball down the field, and that's what this guy is on the team for.

Lmao he could easily climb as high as WR2 if he puts in the work during camp & pre-season. I feel it’s a blank canvas for him, I don’t expect that high of a floor but it truly is all up to him. I’m sure the new regime isn’t rushing to write off a tall and extremely fast weapon for a Rook

Let’s wait to see what he can do with a competent head coach and QB first. Bowers is the only one in front of him in my opinion. Everyone else can be leapfrogged.
