Not much of a track record? Lets see ..... ever since his snaps went up to consistently around 70%+ starting wk 12 of his rookie season he -
- was a top 5 WR wks 12-17 that season
- then broke Jamar Chases playoff rookie WR total catch record helping the Chiefs get their most recent Super Bowl win
- then started off the '24 season on a 160+ Target/130+ catches/1,600+ yards/10+ TDs pace (👀) up till Mahomes threw a pic & then dove into Rices knee (think how differently Rice is viewed if that doesnt happen)
- then came back last season & despite coming back mid season after not playing a down for over a year/having major knee surgery/& even starting back on a snap count he STILL was on a 165 targets/112 receptions/1,213 yards/& 10 TDs pace
Most of his games missed the last 2 seasons was 13 games from a VERY FLUKE type play where Mahomes threw a pick then dove into Rices knee. Then another 6 were from his 1 & only suspension in 7 years of college & pro play.

He also was moving better last night. Got open a couple times but the ball didnt go his way.
He came into camp at only around 70% conditioning & leg strength wise bc he had a knee scope cleanup in mid May & wasnt allowed to do much conditioning work for 2 months post surgery. By the end of camp he looked about 80-85%. Now looks around 85-90%. Still has 2+ weeks to try to get to 95%. There is a chance he may not play his normal snap count the first 2-3 weeks but still should get plenty of targets.
