Literally his first full day doing team drills he led everyone in targets 😂
His snaps went up to consistently around 70%+ wk 12 his rookie season. Over his 18 regular season games since then hes averaged (& next to it in parentheses is what a 17 game pace would look like) -
• 9.1 targets (163)
• 6.7 receptions (120)
• 76.5 receiving yards (1,300)
• 0.6 TDs (9.4)
He hung with Mahomes a lot of the summer ..... earned Mahomes trust in the playoffs as a rookie (broke Jamar Chases playoff rookie WR total catch record helping them get their most recent SB win..... he had 16 first downs that playoffs with many clutch tough catches.
Then to start '24 he was WR2 in the NFL on a 160+ Target/130+ catches/1,600+ yards/10+ TDs pace ..... up till Mahomes threw a pick & dove into his knee. Just imagine how differently Rice is viewed of that doesnt happen. Lol u dont think Mahomes feels horrible & wants to help get Rice paid in a contract year (on top of Rice having earned his trust AND them 2 hanging out a lot this offseason, esp the last almost 2 months both being in the rehab room together) 🤔
Long as nothing happens health wise u can lock him in for being a top 5-10 WR
