This part of the story is so obvious, but none of these articles ever mention how Worthy’s rookie year was also held back by Mahomes’ poor performance in downfield passing. Sure…worthy had a mental error or two of his own. That said, there was another 8 opportunities I could cite where mahomes flat out missed him on explosives that would have produced hundreds of more yards and a few more TDs.
Yet here we are…ranked as WR 52 going into the peak of his career at age 23 tied to Mahomes 😂
