If I were a guy who hates media attention and stated that when I retire I’m going to disappear to some remote jungle, I would wait until September to do it so that I could have a lot of media attention on me for no reason for an extra 6 months

the nfl's franchise tag rules and this make no sense. he signed a 1 season deal and played the 1 season. How can you claim his rights still just because he played for you last?
